@ Belknap Tool Library (700 Clancy Ave NE)

The Belknap Tool Library is NOW OPEN! It’s located in the basement of the NOBL office at 700 Clancy. Enter through the back door on Fairbanks. There will be a sign! We invite you to come swing by to learn more, borrow a tool, make a suggestion for a tool, or even bring in a donation of a new or gently used tool.

Here’s how the Tool Library works:

  1. Borrower must be a Belknap resident over the age of 18 (ID is required)
  2. There is a $5 cash deposit per tool.
  3. Tools may be borrowed for 1 week.
  4. Tools may only be used for personal use at your home property.
  5. Power tools will require a demonstration for how to operate safetly.
  6. Borrower must sign a waiver.

Tools Available as of 8/1/24:

  • Landscaping Tools: Lawn mower (battery powered, and push mower), weed whipper, leaf blower, extended branch trimmer, spade shovel, flat shovel, rakes, loppers, pruners, hoe, pitch fork, thatching rake, light-duty rototiller, other various lawn and garden items.
  • Power Tools: Power washer, drill, impact driver, grinder, chop saw, orbital sander, palm sander, skill saw, sawzall.
  • General Tools: Basic tool kits (screwdrivers, pliers, etc), sledgehammer, ladder, pry bar, post hole digger, animal trap, and some other things, too!
  • Want something else? Submit a request!

Get Involved

  • Donations of new and gently used tools, or financial gifts, are generally welcome!
  • Volunteers are needed to help keep the shop clean and organized, maintain and repair tools, or lead a community workshop.
