I want to get Involved with NOBL:

Belknap Native Plant Initiative

  • This fall we will be establishing a thriving ecosystem of native pollinator habitat in the Belknap Lookout neighborhood that will benefit neighbors and wildlife alike.
  • The initiative is designed to enhance biodiversity, support pollinator health, foster environmental stewardship, beautify the neighborhood, build meaningful connections between residents, and educate neighbors about Michigan’s native flora.
The Initiative will include the installation of 30 gardens and we’re looking for residents who want to participate! All residents will receive the garden free of charge, but will be required to help prepare the site, install the garden, and maintain it for at least 3 years.
  • Apply here to receive a 5’x8′ native pollinator garden in your front yard! This is open to any resident or business in the Belknap neighborhood.

The Belknap Native Plant Initiative is funded in part thanks to the support from:

Michigan Botanical Society and City of Grand Rapids Neighborhood Match Fund.
